                                                                                             Duties and Responsibilities

 

Electrical Department

The following posts of Electrical Department are operational as follows:

Principal Chief Electrical Engineer:

The Principal Chief Electrical Engineer is Co-ordinating Head of the Electrical Department.

Chief Electrical Engineer/Loco:

Chief Electrical Engineer/Loco is entrusted with the responsibilities of out-turn of locomotives including conversion locos, DETCs and other rolling stocks.

He is assisted by Dy.CEE/Loco.

Chief Electrical Engineer/D&Q:

Chief Electrical Engineer/D&Q is entrusted with the responsibilities of Quality, ISO Cell, Service Improvement Group (SIG), Loco Drawing Office, Receipt Inspection, C&M Lab, TTC, Incentive and NRC Business. New Projects i.e NETRA cars, DETC with MRI, DMTC, TTW & RRV. Development and Prototype inspection of Loco and DETC items. 

He is assisted by Dy.CEE/Project,  Dy.Chief Quality Manager,  Dy.CEE/Design, Dy.CME/Design for these assignments. 

Chief Electrical Service Engineer

Chief Electrical Service Engineer is entrusted with the responsibilities of Electrical Power Supply Services, Plant Maintenance, Safety & M&P, Traction Machine Shop and Civil Engineering.  

He is assisted by Dy.CEE/ES, Dy.CME/Plant, Dy.CME/TMS and  Dy.CE,  for all these activities respectively.

Dy.Chief Electrical Engineer/Project :

Responsible for all new projects i.e NETRA cars, Diesel Electric Tower Car with Measuring and Recording Instrumentation (DETC with MRI),  Dual Mode Tower Car (DMTC), Twin Tower Wagon (TTW) & Rail cum Road Vehicle (RRV). Looking after the work of factory manager & safety cell.

Dy.Chief Electrical Engineer/Loco:

Responsible for manufacturing and all other activities carried out in Phase-II group of shops viz. . Loco Assembly Shop (LAS), Air Brake Shop (ABS), Light Fabrication Shop (LFS) & ECS.

 

Dy.Chief Quality Manager:

Responsible for Receipt Inspection, C&M Lab, SIG Cell Quality Issues of DMW Products, Warranty Obligations, Legal compliances, ISO Cell, TTC, Incentive Cell & NRC Business.

Dy.Chief Electrical Engineer/Design :

Responsible for Design. Co-ordination of all types of Locos, DETC & all other items and Loco Drawing Office and also responsible for Development and Prototype inspection of Loco and DETC items, new items like EoTT,DPWCS,CVVRS etc and Monitoring of Quality through newly proposed Quality Cell.

Dy.Chief Mech. Engineer/Design :

Responsible for Design. Co-ordination of all types of Locos, DETC & all other items and Loco Drawing Office and also responsible for Development and Prototype inspection of Loco and DETC items, new items like EoTT,DPWCS,CVVRS etc and Monitoring of Quality through newly proposed Quality Cell.

 Dy. Chief Electrical Engineer/Electrical Services:

Responsible for Electrical Power supply services to workshop and colonies.

Dy.Chief Mechanical Engineer/TMS:

Responsible for all manufacturing activities of Traction Machine Shop and Coil Shop.

Dy.Chief Mechanical Engineer/Plant:

Responsible for all M&Ps & safety.

Dy.Chief Engineer:

Responsible for all activities related to Civil Engineering Deptt.
